
Jerry Marsh, Billy Copas, George Talley, Brian Driver, Rick Hunter, and Donald Dyer served as Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Highland Church Cemetery.
Myrtle Wix was born on Monday, November 8, 1920, in Macon County, one of seven siblings, to the late Ezra Noah and Amanda (Walton) Meador. On January 9, 1937, she was married to Nolen Thomas Wix, sharing sixty-five years of marriage; he preceded her in death on February 13, 2002. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Earl, Burton, Windle, Odor, and Odell Meador, sister, Ettie Lyles, and great-great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Grace.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed having family time with her children and grandchildren, her hobbies were quilting and collecting dolls. She was a member of the Highland General Baptist Church.
She is survived by; son, Buford (Pam) Wix of Lafayette, Tenn., daughter, Donnie Mae Douglas of Scottsville, Ky., five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
