Junior Williford, 87

Mr. Junior Williford age 87 of the Wartrace Community died peacefully Wednesday afternoon October 29, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. at his Wartrace Highway home with his family at his bedside.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon November 1 from the Hackett Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home with his pastor, Bro. Jeff Burton, officiating. Burial followed the 1 p.m. services in the Draper Cemetery on Wartrace Creek.

The only child of the late Oliver B. and Vallie Elizabeth Huffines Williford, he was born William Junior Williford on November 12, 1920 in the Wartrace Community.

On November 27, 1943 he was united in marriage to the former Bertha Lea Taylor who preceded him in death on September 11, 2001 after almost fifty-eight years of marriage.

Mr. Williford, a retired farmer, was a member of the Wartrace United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Brazle and husband Earl of Wartrace, Kaye Kendall and husband Joseph of Columbia; two grandchildren, Eric Brazle of Wartrace, Jonahtan Kendall of Columbia; great-grandchild, Kloey Brazle of Gainesboro; special caregivers, Jane Poterfield and Polly Dixon.
