The MCHS Tigers traveled to White House last Friday night for a district match-up and a chance to host a 1st round play- off game. 

  The Tigers fumble the ball away on the 2nd play of the game at the 25 yard line and White House recovered.   The Blue Devils scored with 7:33 to go in the 1st qtr to take the 7-0. Tigers 2nd possession resulted in a three and out.  After a punt by Grace, Johnson hit McEwen on the first play from scrimmage for a 67 yard TD pass.  WH converted a two point conversion to take the lead 15-0 with 5:58 in the 1st qtr.  The Tigers go three and out on their 3rd possession.  After another punt, WH went 60 yards in 6 plays as Johnson threw his 2nd TD pass to McEwen with 1:54 in 1st qtr.  After a missed PAT, WH led 21-0. The Tigers start their 4th possession on their own 21 and pick-up one first down and punt it away.  Four plays later West scored on a 43 yard TD run.  PAT good White House led 28-0.  The Tigers next drive ended when Grace is intercepted by Johnson at the Blue Devil 27.  White House drove 10 plays and 73 yards to make the score 34-0 after a TD run by Burns and a missed PAT with 3:50 to go in the 2nd qtr.  The Tigers got on the scoreboard with a Grace to Manning 16 yard TD pass capping a four play 80 yard drive with 2:17 to go in the second period.  The Blue Devils missed a FG as time expired to end the half making the score 34-7.  

  White House took the 2nd half opening kickoff and drove 69 yard in seven plays and score.   PAT good White House led 41-7.  Tigers drive 76 yards in 18 plays as Aaron Carter sneaks it in from the one.  Cook added the PAT to make the score 41-14. With :25 sec left in the game Dale Turner scored from five yards away, PAT good by Cook.  Final score White House 41-21 over the Tigers.  Tigers fall to 3-5 on the season and 2-2 in the district standing.

The Tigers will host Livingston Academy this week for the last home game and parents’ night.  Come out and cheer the Tigers on to victory and “I’ll see you at the game.”
