Cannon County gave Macon County two losses this past week in Woodbury.
The Tigerettes were beaten 29-65 and the Tigers lost 44-59.
Cannon County was one of the three girls teams from this district who went to the state tournament. They jumped on the Tigerettes early behind the shooting of Abby Sissom. The ability to score late again plagued the Tigerettes and the final score was Cannon 65 Macon 29.
Scoring was: Kassidy Brooks 2, Briley Driver 6, Leah Anderson 5, Jade Ellis 4, Reese Shrum 6, Paige Clark 4 and Sarah Carter 2.
The Tigers started just like the Tigerettes finished, slow. Only scoring nine in the first and seven in the second they found themselves down by 18 at the break. They did manage to outscore Cannon in the second half but it was too little too late. Final score Cannon 59 Macon 44.
Scoring was: Tyler Carlisle 5, Clay Carnahan 1, Peyton Clark 2, Alex Hill 2, Dillon McCormick 15, Evan Perrigo 10, Mayson Shrum 4, Michael Ashburn 2, and Kendrick Carter 3.
The games with Livingston were cancelled for last Friday night. This week Macon will play Upperman on Tuesday the 10th and travel to York on Friday the 13th.
