Macon County High School Cross Country ran at the Sharp Springs Invitational, held at Sharp Springs Park in Smyrna Tennessee, Saturday, September 24.
The Macon County Jr High Girls Soccer team dropped their first loss of the year in a driving rain last week. Mt. Juliet Middle beat the Tigerettes by a score of 1-4. Coach Barry King said to keep your head up girls; we still have 5 games to go.
“We played Clinton County, KY Tuesday night at 7:00 PM in Albany,” said RBS Junior High Football Coach BJ West.
In RBS High School football news… the Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs traveled to Clay County last Friday night and were defeated by a score of 35-7. It was a very spirited contest.
By Tim Case The Tigers hosted the Sycamore War Eagles in their first home district game on Friday September 16th. Sycamore entered the game with a 2-1 record having beaten Greenbrier in district action.
On September 9th, 2011 the MCHS Golf team attended the Division I Class A-AA District Tournament held at Swan Lake Golf Course in Clarksville, Tennessee.
The Macon County High School Volleyball team played in a tournament last weekend, September 9th and 10th.
By Tim Case The MCJH Tigers (3-1) traveled to the creek bank to take on the Jim B.Satterfield Yellow Jackets (4-1) last Tuesday night. The contest proved to be a back-and-forth battle for both teams.

On Tuesday September 13th, the Macon County Junior High competed in an All-Comers Mid Week meet. The boys team placed 2nd out of all the teams in attendance.
