With the days getting longer and summertime activities in full swing, the Lafayette United Methodist Church hosted their annual Vacation Bible School last week, where kids ages three through twelve, enjoyed a faith journey with the word of Jesus, in a pleasant and spiritual atmosphere.
The week-long event was designed for the kids to grow in faith as they explored God’s word, through religious study and activities, including singing, arts & crafts, skits and refreshments.
The 2012 VBS Director was Penny Evans. The teachers & staff this year were Reba Bellar, Lisa Collins, Butch & Kelly Evans, Betty & Tessa Pruitt, Richard Hunter, Nancy Piper, Marsha Briggie, Lena & Lora Darnell, Wilma Hunter, Erica Jackson, Nicole Bilbro, and Brian Carver. The pastor is Tommie Martin.
“I would like to thank all the young people who attended,” said Penny Evans, “and the teachers & staff, who made this event possible.”
“See you again next year!”
