Funeral services for Edna Hale Turner, age 83 of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. were conducted Monday afternoon, February 25, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. with Pastor Clovis York officiating. Her family and friends served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Clementsville Cemetery.
Edna passed away Friday evening, February 22, 2008 from the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tenn.

She was born June 2, 1924 in Clay County, Tenn., the daughter of the late Arvil and Tennie Long Hale. On January 22, 1941, she was married to Lester Turner, who preceded her in death on January 2, 1962. Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lavelle Turner, son, Elvin Turner, sisters, Ona Mickey and Nellie Davis, brother, Raymond Hale. She was a Cook at The Palace in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. with 18 years of service and a member of the Bennett Hill Church of Christ.

Survivors include: daughters & son-in-law; Olene &Eddie Craighead, Red Boiling Springs Tenn., Pauline & Bernist McCormick-Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., daughter; Jean Smith-McMinnville, Tenn,, son & daughter-in-law; Terry & Becky Turner-Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., daughter-in-law; Rulene Turner, Lafayette, Tenn., sister-in-law, Lillian Butler, Portland, Tenn., 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grand & 2 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
