Geraldine K. Copass age 80 of Homer died at 4:27 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Ill. 

Geraldine K. Copass age 80 of Homer died at 4:27 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Ill.  Funeral services were at 11a.m. on Monday, February 25 at Kirby Funeral Home; 708 S. Main St.; Homer.  Pastor Chuck Alt will officiate. Burial followed in the G.A.R. Cemetery in Homer.

Mrs. Copas was boron on April 25, 1927 in Clay County, Tenn. a daughter of Otis and Myrtle Wilson Kemp.  She married Paul Copass on Jan. 31, 1948 in Monroe County, Ky.  He survives.  Also surviving are 1 daughter; Paula (Moises) Moreno of Joliet, Ill.; 3 sons; Richard (Marsha) Copass of Danville, Ill.; Timothy Copass of Broadlands, Ill.; Kevin (Jodi) Copass of Anchor, Ill.; 1 brother; Douglas Kemp of Greenwood, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren.  She was preceeded in death by 1 sister and 1 son (David Copass).  She was a member of the Sidney Christian Church. Her hobbies are painting, singing and gardening.  Memorials may be made to Homer Fire Dept. or G.A.R. Cemetery.
