Lily Mai Vaughn Wilson Jones, 101

Lily Mai Vaughn Wilson Jones, age 101 of Louisville, Ky., returned to her Heavenly Father on February 21, 2008.

She was born in Macon County, Tenn. on July 9, 1906 to James R. Vaughn and Matilda E. Vaughn. She was preceded in death by 6 brothers, 2 sisters and son, William Larry Wilson. She is survived by a daughter, Virginia Wilson Gaines and son-in-law, George Gaines, Jr. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was a member of the Victory Memorial Baptist Church in Louisville, Ky., and also a member of Eastern Star.

Her funeral was held Sunday, February 24, 2008 at 1 p.m. from the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. with Jimmy Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Chapel Cemetery.
