John Edward Guest, 69
John Edward Guest, age 69 died peacefully at his home in Jackson County, Tennessee, on February 22, 2008, just one day before his 70th birthday.
A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Mr. Guest served in the United States Navy as an aircraft electronics technician, and later as a flight line technician for TWA. Additionally, he was a carpenter, housepainter and historical restorationist in St. Augustine and Jacksonville, Florida. During his life, he was an avid reader and continued to develop his talent as an artist and songwriter.
After his retirement, Mr. Guest moved to Whitleyville, Tennessee in Jackson County. He is survived by a sister, Joy Maryon and brother and sister-in-law, Mitchell Guest and Enda Guest of Gibson, Georgia; a brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Mary Guest of Jacksonville, Florida; his son, John Michael Guest of Aloa, Oregon; Francis and Patrick Guest of Jacksonville, Florida; Harry Guest and a daughter Honali Guest of Marysville, Missouri; as well as many friends in both Jackson and Macon County, Tennessee.
A family memorial is planned for John Guest in his hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. Donations in his memory may be made a Macon County Branch Library in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee 37150.
