Billy Martin Ethridge, 76

Billy Martin Ethridge, of the Spring Creek Community in Macon County, died at the age of 76 on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Hendersonville Medical Center.

Billy Martin EthridgeFuneral services for Billy Martin Ethridge were conducted from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 1 p.m. with Elder Cary Kemp and Elder Jerry Swindle officiating. Roger Green, Wilson Crook, Michael Keen, Earl Green, Larry Long, Johnathon Ethridge, and Tim Cliburn served as active pallbearers. Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery.

Born; Billy Martin Ethridge in Macon County, Tenn., on Tuesday March 8, 1932, one of seven siblings born from the marriage of the late Heady and Carrie (Denson) Ethridge. He married the former Shirley Green on July 1, 1983 who survives. Besides his parents, a brother, Wendell Ethridge preceded him in death. He was a truck driver for the Mid South Wire Company. Besides his wife of twenty-four years, he is survived by sons, Steve (Denise) Ethridge of Westmoreland, Tenn., Billy Joe and Jeff Ethridge both of N. C., daughters, Kay and Jennie Ethridge both of Wis., stepdaughters, Kay (Dan) Eddy of Fla., and Denise (Ron) Tabor of Indianapolis, Ind., brothers, Art Ethridge of Goodlettsville, Tenn., Wayne Ethridge of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Roy and Charlie Ethridge both of Carthage, Tenn., sister, Joyce (Billy) Cliburn of Lafayette, Tenn., 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
