Mr. Carver passed away Tuesday morning, March 11, 2008 at the Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette, Tenn.
Funeral services for Delton Raymond Carver, age 93 of the Akersville Road, Lafayette, Tenn. were conducted Thursday morning, March 13, 2008 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette, Tenn. with Elder Guthrie Thompson officiating. Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park. His grandsons served as pallbearers.
Mr. Carver passed away Tuesday morning, March 11, 2008 at the Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette, Tenn.
He was born February 13, 1915 in Macon County, Tenn. one of eleven sons of the late Vanus and Ester Goad Carver. On September 16, 1933, he married the former Dorothy Oliver who preceded him in death on December 23, 2000. Besides his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandson, Maxie Smith and brothers, D.L., Draper, Delbert, Darrel, Douglas, Dallas, Donald, and Darwin Carver. He was a farmer and a member of the Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by; daughters & sons-in law; Betty & Lowell Smith, Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., Barbara & Harold Fryman, Lafayette, Tenn.; sons & daughters-in-law; Billy & Carolyn Carver, Cottontown, Tenn., Bobby & Nancy Carver, Lafayette, Tenn., Randy & Tracy Carver, Lafayette, Tenn.; brother, Dexter Ray Carver, Jeffersonville, Ind.; brother & sister-in-law, Dortch & Christine Carver, Defeated Creek, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.
