Jacquelyn Walrond, 76
Jacquelyn Walrond, of Lafayette, died at the age of 76 on Monday, March 17, 2008 at the Westmoreland Care & Rehab.
Funeral services for Jacquelyn Walrond were conducted from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Reverend Guthrie Gregory and Reverend Kenny Sullivan officiating. Randy Davis, Kevin Woodard, Jim Jones, Johnny Coley, Barry Walrond, and Micky Walrond served as pallbearers. Burial followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens. Born Jacquelyn Walrond in Trousdale County, Tenn., on Saturday, February 6, 1932, one of five siblings born to the late William Earl and Eva Pearl (Dalton) Ragland. She was married to R.E. (Sheep) Walrond, June 2, 1951, who preceded her in death June 16, 2006. Besides her parents and husband, brothers, William E. Jr., Jack Dalton, and Billy Ragland, sister, Winona Coley, and a step great-grandchild, Mark Blankenship preceded her in death.
She was a Physicians receptionist for many years, and a member of the Pleasant Hill General Baptist Church.
She is survived by; sons, Jimmy (Janice) Walrond, and Danny (Beverly) Walrond all of Lafayette, grandchildren, Amy Davis, and Andrea Woodard, step grandchildren, Marty Blankenship, Christy Jones, great-grandchildren, Avery Davis, Addison Woodard, and Cooper Lee Davis, step great-grandchildren, Brittany Blankenship, Markus Jones, Hayden Blankenship, and Wesley Jones.
