Ruth Gregory Kidd passed away Friday, March 14, 2008 at the Fla. Hospital in, Altamonte Springs, Fla.

Funeral services for Ruth Gregory Kidd, age 79 of Richmond, Ky., and formerly of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. were conducted Thursday morning, March 20, 2008 at 11 a.m. from the First Baptist Church in Richmond, Ky., with Reverend Bill Fort officiating. Interment followed in the Richmond Cemetery.  Her pallbearers were Darrell Bowles, Marc Hopkins, Jim Mancuso, Marcus Hopkins, Tyler Bowles and Michael Mancuso.

Ruth passed away Friday, March 14, 2008 at the Fla. Hospital in, Altamonte Springs, Fla.

She was born in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. on October 1, 1928, the daughter of the late William M. and Cora Belle Vaughn Gregory.  She was married to Ray Kidd, who preceded her in death.  Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Pauline Halsell and Dorothy Smith, and brothers, Garvin, Vesper and William L. Gregory.  She was a retired branch bank manager for the Former State Bank of Richmond and a member of the First Baptist Church, where she attended the Bethany Sunday School Class.  She was a member of the Richmond Garden Club, the Arlington Bowling League, the Better Breathers Club and a long-time avid fan of E K U Football and member of the EKU Colonel Club.  She also served as a Pattie A. Clay Gift Shop Volunteer.

Survivors include, three daughters, Linda (Darrell) Bowles, Richmond, Ky., Jackie (Marc) Hopkins, Longwood, Fla., and Kim (Jim) Mancuso, Bartlett, Ill., seven grandchildren, Marcus (Julie) Hopkins, Hanna Hopkins, Tyler Bowles, Kate Bowles, Michael, Erin  & Emma Mancuso, one great-grandchild, Haley Ann Hopkins, sister & brother-in-law, Bessie V. & Elder Floyd Ferguson, brother & sister-in-law, Jessie T. & Janie Gregory all of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roy & Sue Kidd, Richmond, Ky.
