Velma Louise Howell Jenkins, 80
Mrs. Velma Louise Howell Jenkins, age 80 of Westmoreland, Tenn. passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2008.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, March 21 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Curtis officiating. Interment followed in the Siloam Cemetery.
Mrs. Jenkins and her husband Odell “John” were married on December 13, 1947. She was a member of Siloam Missionary Baptist Church since 1944. She was retired from Westmoreland Manufacturing. She was a former member of the Eastern Star.
She was the daughter of the late Herschell H. Howell and the late Louise Mildred Harrison Howell. Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother, Billy Joe Howell.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Odell “John” Junior Jenkins of Westmoreland; daughter Judy (Rick) McClure of Westmoreland; son, Gary (Barbara) Jenkins of White House; sisters, Juanita (Doug) Curtis of Westmoreland and Era Mae Gregory of Gallatin; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
