Genell “Granny” Mahaney Holland, 82

Funeral services for Genell “Granny” Mahaney Holland, age 82, of Lafayette, Tenn. were conducted  Wednesday, April 16, 2008 from the Chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette, Tenn. with Elder Jeff Blackwell  officiating.

Pallbearers included Wayne Anderson, Dewayne Cook, Ronnie Carter, Jean Claude Rizk, Joel Fortner and Kyle Hollis.  Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.

Genell passed away Monday morning April 14, 2008 at Knollwood Manor in Lafayette, Tenn.

She was born April 26, 1925 in Akersville, Ky. to the late Benjamin Harrison and Sarah Jane Hammer Mahaney.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Pearl Jenkins Hudson, Lora Mae Wheeler Dotson, Mable Mahaney, and brother, Elbridge Mahaney.  She was a seamstress at the former Formfit Rogers Corp. in Lafayette and a member of the Enon Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by: daughters & sons-in-law, Joann (Richard) Bell of Monticello, Ky. Margaret (Dwight) Dotson of Lafayette, Tenn., son & daughter-in-law, Jim (Laura) Holland of Lascassas, Tenn., 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
