Funeral services for Elma Newberry Groce, age 83 of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. were conducted Saturday afternoon, May 24, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. with Donnie Barnes officiating.

Elma GroceInterment followed in the Clark Cemetery. Her pallbearers were Joey Johnson, James Witcher, Chaz Tucker, Nathan Tucker, Barry Cherry and Dan Mea.

Mrs. Elma passed away Thursday morning, May 22, 2008 at her daughter’s residence in Lafayette, Tenn.

She was born January 27, 1925 in Macon County, Tenn., the daughter of the late Dallas and Willie Morgan Newberry.

She was married to James Hall Groce, who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by grandson, Michael Witcher and great-granddaughter, Kaitlan Witcher. She was a homemaker and a member of the Red Boiling Springs Church of Christ.

Survivors include: daughters & sons-in-law, Barbara & Louie Wayne Witcher, Lafayette, Tenn., Linda & Chris Tucker, Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., sister & brother-in-law, Joyce & James Davis, Fla., brother & sister-in-law, Louie & Ruby Newberry, Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., 6  grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
