Herbert B. Spears, 77

Herbert B. Spears, age 77 of Westmoreland passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2008. Funeral services were conducted Monday, May 19 at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Key and Bro. Doyle Farris officiating.

Interment followed in the Rocky Mound Cemetery. Robin Spears, Clay Dickerson, Kyle Dickerson, Robin Lynn Grisham, Phil Spears, Mike Spears, Charlie Harris and Brownie Lemons served as Active Pallbearers.

Mr. Spears was a Deacon at Garretts Creek General Baptist Church. He retired from Eaton Corp. after 35 years and retired from Sumner County Co-op.

He was the son of the late Geroge Jay Milton Spears and the late Stella Gracie Pharris Spears. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by brothers, Ralph Spears, Bobby Spears and J.R. Spears; sisters, Marie Spears Huntsman and Beatrice Spears.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Tuttle Spears; son, Keith (Sandra) Spears; daughter, Kim (Tim) Dickerson all of Westmoreland. Grandchildren, Daphney (Robin Lynn) Grisham, Elmwood, Robin (fiancée Brittani) Spears, Old Hickory, Clay (Elizabeth) Dickerson, Cookeville, Kyle Dickerson, Westmoreland, Brandy Spears, Cookeville, Scarlett Spears, Westmoreland and great-grandchild, Austin Spears, Old Hickory.
