J.W. McConnell, 60

Funeral services for J.W. McConnell were conducted Wednesday morning, May 14, 2008, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. with Brother Gary Emberton officiating. Interment followed in the Sadlers Chapel Cemetery.

His grandchildren served as honorary pallbearers and his family served as active pallbearers.

J. W. passed away Saturday afternoon, May 10, 2008 at the St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

He was born May 2, 1948 in Monroe County, Ky., the son of the late Alfred and Vera England McConnell. On November 30, 1968, he married the former Patsy Wilson, who preceded him in death on January 22, 1977. He was a construction worker.

Survivors include: devoted companion, Wanda Ray, Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., daughter & son-in-law, Kim & Ricky Smith, Bowling Green, Ky., son & daughter-in-law, Greg & Angie McConnell, Tompkinsville, Ky., sisters & brothers-in-law, Linda & Jimmy Short Jeffersonville, Ind., Kaye & Phillip Huffer, Bowling Green, Ky. brother & sister-in-law, Mike & Becky McConnell, Alvaton, Brother, Don McConnell, Alvaton, Ky., 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
