Lois Ruth Goad, 90

Lois Ruth Goad, age 90, of Madison, Tenn., formerly of the Haysville Community in Macon County, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2008, at Skyline Medical Center.

Lois GoadFuneral services for Lois Ruth Goad were conducted on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Guthrie Thompson officiating. Interment followed in the Haysville Cemetery.

Lois Ruth Goad was born on November 12, 1917 in Macon County, Tenn., one of five siblings to the late Hobert and Caro M. (Dillard) Law.  She was married to Gray McKennis Goad in December of 1935, who preceded her in death on June 14, 1998. Besides her husband and parents, son, Tommy Ray Goad, grandson, Danny Thomas, brother, Kermit Law, and sister, Mildred Law preceded her in death.

Ms. Lois had worked in retail as a cashier for many years; enjoyed watching wrestling on television; loved her faithful cat, Molly, and was a member of Brattontown Missionary Baptist Church.  She is survived by; son, Troy (Kaye) Goad of Madison, Tenn., daughter, Rachel Thomas (Dave) Norem of Clarkesville, Tenn., brothers, Ralph (JoNell) Law of Amos, Ky. Aubrey (Margaret) Law of Hendersonville, Tenn., grandsons, Jason Goad and Steve (Patty) Thomas all of Madison, Tenn., step-granddaughters, Kim (Phillip) Wallace of Greenbrier, Tenn., and Tina (Chuck) Swann of Hendersonville, Tenn., three great-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and her faithful cat, Molly.
