Dellton Keith Hix, 69
Retired Master Sgt. Delton Keith Hix, age 69 of Fayetteville, N.C. died in his home May 17, 2008.
Mr. Hix served in the Army 26 years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After retirement from the Army he was an employee of Defender Industries for 19 years.
Delton’s funeral was held on May 24, 2008. Burial with military honors was at Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville, N.C.
He was preceded in death by his oldest son Kayne Hix, parents Buel and Alma Ruth Hix and sister Sue Hix Taylor.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Hix, sons Michael Hix and wife Robin, Kenneth Hix, and wife Dianne, daughter Sandra Hix and grandchildren, Kimberly and Kathryn Hix, Kayne, Spencer, and Tanner Hix. He was also survived by brothers Nelson Hix of Frankfort, Ky., Roger Hix of Glasgow, Ky., Ronnie Hix of Sevierville, Tenn., Ray Hix of Dothan, Ala., Dennis Hix of Lafayette, Tenn., Delbert Hix of Lafayette, Tenn., Phillip Hix of Indianapolis, Ind., Freddy Hix of Greenbrier, Tenn., Mark Hix of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. and sister Cathy Hix Cunningham of Cookeville, Tenn.
