James Carroll “Jimmy” Brown, 70

Mr. James Carroll "Jimmy" Brown, 70, of Cookeville, formerly of the Arcot Community in Clay Co., Tenn., passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, in Cookeville, Tenn.

Mr. Brown was born in Arcot Community of Clay Co., Tenn. on April 9, 1938, the son of the late Charlie and Pearl  (Spear) Brown. He was a Heavy Equipment operator and a farmer.

Surviving is his wife, Connie (Savage) Brown, 2 daughters, Emily Netasha (Nathaniel) Tinsley of Cookeville, Tenn., Sacha Evette (David) Channell of Kingsport, Tenn., a niece, many wonderful cousins and especially close cousins, Robert Hugh Brown of Cookeville, Tenn., Evelyn Brown of Cookeville, Tenn., and Steve Holt of the Arcot Community.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Pearl (Spear) Brown; sisters, Charlie Frances Brown and Lula Belle Brown; brothers, Joe Clyde Brown, John Edwin Brown, and Jerry Lynn Brown.

Funeral services were conducted at Hall Funeral Home, LLC, Celina, Tenn., at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 23, with Pastor Jim Moore and Hugh Davenport officiating. The family has chosen cremation.
