Emojean Ross, 79

Emojean Ross, age 79, of Lafayette, Tenn., passed away on Monday, June 9, 2008 at The Palace Care and Rehab. 

Funeral services for Emojean Ross were conducted Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 12 noon from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Elder James Shoulders officiating.  Burial followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens.

Emojean Ross was born on Thursday, December 13, 1928 in Davidson County, Tenn., one of six siblings to the late William Virgil and Gracie Mai Nichols Smith.  She was married to John Henry Draper, who preceded her in death. She later married Cecil Charles Ross, who preceded her in death.  Besides her husbands and parents; brothers, William Elzie Smith, Cordell Key Smith, and sister, Ruby Gammon, preceded her in death.

Emojean Ross was a homemaker; she loved to read in her spare time.  She was a member of the Hendersonville Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by; sons, John Wayne (Patty Lynn) Draper of Whitleyville, Tenn., James Larry (Kathy) Draper of Zepher Hills, Fla., sisters, Mai C. Shrum of Old Hickory, Tenn., Shirley Snoddy of Franklin, Ky., grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Bolton, John Wade Draper, James Virgil Draper, two step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
