Jimmy Neal Roark, 53

Funeral services for Jimmy Neal Roark, age 53 of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. were conducted Thursday afternoon, June 12, 2008, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. with E. C. Meadows and Keith Scruggs officiating.

Interment followed in the Bethany Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were the Employees of the William L. Bonnell Company and the past members of the Red Boiling Springs Fire Deptment. Active pallbearers were the members of the Red Boiling Springs Fire Department.

Jimmy Neal passed away Tuesday morning, June 10, 2008 at the Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.

He was born August 18, 1954 in Macon County, Tenn., the son of the late Donald and Pauline Driver Roark. On April 5, 1986, he married the former Rebecca Sutton, who survives. He was a former employee with the William L. Bonnell Company in Gordonsville, Tenn. where he was the Head Buffer in the Finishing Department for 24 years. He was a member of the Bakerton Church of Christ and the Red Boiling Springs Fire Department for 36 years where he had served as the Chief and the Assistant Chief for many of those years. He also served as a Red Boiling Springs City Councilman from 1998 thru 2008 and Red Boiling Springs Vice Mayor from 2001 thru 2005. He was a Director for the Macon Emergency Management Agency.

Survivors besides his wife, Rebecca of 22 years include: daughter, Kenethia Woodard, son, Kelly Jones both of Red Boiling Springs, brothers & sisters-in-law, Hugh Wayne & Barbara Roark, Carthage, Tenn., Roger & Margie Roark, Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., father-in-law & mother-in-law, Doyle & Dimple Sutton, Red Boiling Springs, Tenn.
