Roger Dale Gregory, 64

Elder Roger Dale Gregory age 64, of the Oakdale Community in Macon County, Tenn., passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 from injuries sustained from a four-wheeler accident.

Funeral services for Elder Roger Dale Gregory were conducted Friday, June 13, 2008 at 4 p.m. from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Elder W. T. Spears and Elder Danny Holland officiating.  The Ministers and Deacons of the surrounding area served as honorary pallbearers. Tony Harrison, Gary Leath, Billy Sircy, Larry Brawner, Freddie Scruggs, and Gary Leath served as active pallbearers.  Burial followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.

Roger Dale Gregory was born on Sunday, August 8, 1943 in Sumner County, Tenn., born to the late Claude and Maggie Pearl Deering Gregory.

He married the former Peggy Graves on September 7, 1962, sharing forty-seven years of marriage and two children, she survives.  

Elder Gregory worked for the Long Star Cement Company for eighteen years, before becoming disabling; he enjoyed the sport of fishing in his spare time. Elder Gregory had served as pastor for; Willard Missionary Baptist Church, Brattontown Missionary Baptist Church, and Days Cross Road Missionary Baptist Church were he was a member.

Besides his wife, He is survived by; son, Ricky (Rachel) Gregory, daughter, Sheryl (Randy) Allen all of Westmoreland, Tenn., sisters, Slyvia (Tom) White of Carthage, Tenn., Nancy Baker of White House, Tenn., grandchildren, Chase Gregory, Wade Dye, Kaetlyn Dye, Riley Gregory, and Ethan Gregory.
