Bennie Short, 65

Mr. Bennie Short, 65, of Celina passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, Cookeville, Tenn.

Mr. Short was born in Clay Co., Tenn. on July 16, 1942, the son of the late Milton and Elizabeth Kate (Coe) Short.

He operated an Auto Body service and was a member of the Neely Crossroads Church of Christ.

He is survived by: wife, Velma (Cook) Short. Bennie is also survived by 3 sisters, Cemilee Stewart of Ind., Loraine Kerr of Celina, Tenn. and Eldraine Chapman of Ind.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Elizabeth Kate Short; son, Bennie Wayne Short; sisters, Unipearl Turkhorn, Jayrene Short, Ina Mae Short, and Betty Jean Short; brothers, Buster Short, and Sydney Short.

Funeral services were conducted at Hall Funeral Home, LLC, in Celina, Tenn., at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 13, with Ronnie Parsons officiating. Interment followed in the Rich Cemetery in the Pea Ridge Community.
