Hettie H. Harrison age 98, of Lafayette, Tenn., passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2008. Funeral services for Hettie H. Harrison were conducted Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Tony Day officiating. Tony Harrison, Tommy Harrison, David Smith, Steven Huntsman, Donnie Andrews, Dee Brooks served as pallbearers. Burial followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens.
Hettie H. Harrison was born on Sunday, December 11, 1909 in Macon County, Tenn., born one of eleven siblings to the late James William and Velria Mae Allen Doss. Hettie was married in 1925 to the late Owen J. Harrison, who preceded her in death. Besides her husband and parents, daughters, O.C. Lovejoy, Louise Carter, brothers, Burton Doss, Telvis Doss, Carlos Doss, J.W. Doss, sisters, V.M. Doss, Mary Doss, Kelsey Doss, Ozelle Jones, Sammy Brady, grandchildren, Timothy Harrison, Kimberly Davis, great-grandchildren, Mark Brown, Owen Brown, and Carrie Carter, preceded her in death.
Ms. Hettie was a homemaker and a member of the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by; son, Hollis (Janice) Harrison, daughters, Cathy Guinn, Fairlyn Stinson all of Lafayette, Tenn., Christin Hester of Hartsville, Tenn., Clarice (Charles) Carmer of Indianapolis, Ind., sister, Velar Taylor of Scottsville, Ky., sixteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
