Albert “Tab” Lee Harper, Sr., 75

Albert “Tab” Lee Harper, Sr. age 75, of Lafayette, Tenn., passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2008.  Funeral services for Albert “Tab” Harper were   conducted Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 11 a.m. from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Elder J.B. Shoulders officiating. 

Danny Evetts, Stanley Davis, David McClard, Jamie Perrigo, Dean Talbott, and Roger Long   served as pallbearers.  Burial followed in the Cold Springs Cemetery.

Albert “Tab” Lee Harper, Sr. was born on Saturday, February 4, 1933 in Macon County, Tenn., born one of twelve siblings to the late Walter B. and Martha Emmaline Meador Harper.  Albert was married July 5, 1977 to Jorene Doss Harper, who survives.  Besides his parents, brothers, Hollis Harper, Buck Harper, Joe Harper, and Billy Harper, sisters, Ossie King, Geneva Harper, and Bessie Hauskins, preceded him in death.

He worked at Tri-County Electric for 43 years. He enjoyed farming and spending time with his family.  

Besides his wife, he is survived by; daughter, Pat (Joe) Jones of Franklin, Ky., sons, Albert Jr. (Carol) Harper of Lafayette, Tenn., Don (Debbie) Harper of Clay County, Tenn., Mike (Vickie) Harper of Scottsville, Ky., Charlie (Angela) Harper of Lafayette, Tenn., brothers, Olie Harper of Lafayette, Tenn., and Bob Harper of Somerset, Ky., sisters, Elizabeth Blankenship of Lafayette, Tenn., and Ida Willis of Detroit, Mich., twelve grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
