Buell P. Fishburn, 93

Buell P. Fishburn, age 93, of Lafayette, Tenn., passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2008.  A Memorial service for Buell Fishburn was conducted Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Mike Rogers officiating.  Burial followed in the Walton Cemetery.                                               

Buell Fishburn was born on Friday, August 14, 1914, in Macon County, Tenn., born one of ten siblings to the late Thornberg and Effie Susan Davis Harwood.  She was married to Hugh Fishburn on May 5, 1933, who preceded her in death on April 13, 2005. Besides her husband and parents, two sons, F. Ross Fishburn, Michael Fishburn, six brothers, Erlis, Orin, Glenn, Hooper, Clarrel, Virgil Harwood, three sisters, Mamie Smith, Winell Wall, and Mayoma Mahaney, preceded her in death.  

Buell was a seam-stress, a homemaker, and a member of Enon Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by: a son, Hugh Fishburn Jr., a daughter, Sue Farris both of Lafayette, Tenn., five grandchildren, Gina Deck of Crossville, Tenn., Cathy Chism of Smyrna, Tenn., Bobby Doss of Antioch, Tenn., Kim Fishburn of Dallas, Texas, Kirk Fishburn of Lafayette, Tenn., ten great- grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
