Don R. Cherry, Sr., 58

Don R. Cherry, Sr., age 58, of White House, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2008 at Alive Hospice – St. Thomas Medical Center of Nashville, TN after an extended illness.

 He was a native of Bowling Green, KY and the son of Imogene Flener Cherry and the late Youree Patterson Cherry.  Funeral services will be held at 7pm on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House conducted by Brother Ottis Jones and Brother Mike Brady.  In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of 17 years, LaDonna Tatum Cherry of Lafayette, TN; two daughters, Donna Cherry of Bowling Green, KY and Erika Anderson of Smiths Grove, KY; two sons, D. Rodney Cherry, Jr. of Bowling Green, KY and Jonathan (Tabitha) Swaffer of Camp Lejune, NC; five grandchildren, Casey Allen, John Cherry, Josh Cherry, Ava Anderson, Braylon Anderson, a very special four-legged companion, Alex; four brothers, James (Geraldine), Robert, Oscar (Jennene) all of Bowling Green, KY and Eddy (Debbie) Cherry of Franklin, KY; one sister, Theda (Johnny) Mobley of Jessup, GA; mother and father-in-law, Michael and Elaine Tatum, along with a  host of nieces, nephews and many, many friends.  Honorary pallbearers; Warren Wing, Gail Andrews, Tim Brown, Donnie Briley, Roger Briley, Jackie Carter, Pat Clifford, Jeff Cordell, Chris Dowell, Chris Flick, Phil Houston, John Kloster, Charles Perkins, Dave Powell, Chip Rominger, Jeff Tomlinson, Bill Thompson, Ray Wilson and Dale Woodruff.  In lieu of flowers the family requests you make donations to Alive Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
