Adolphus Newberry, 75
Adolphus Newberry, age 75 of the North Springs Community in Jackson County, Tenn. passed away Monday afternoon, August 11, 2008 at the St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
Funeral services for Adolphus Newberry were conducted Thursday August 14, 2008 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. with E. C. Meadows officiating. Interment followed in the Clark Cemetery. His family and friends served as pallbearers.
He was born July 5, 1933 in Macon County, Tenn., the son of the late Dave C. and Willie Mae Hudson Newberry. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mazie Newberry and Rulene Bilbrey, and brothers, Clay and Roy Newberry. On August 9, 1960, he married the former Nannie Jean Caruthers who survives. He was a member of the North Springs Church of Christ, a Korean Veteran, employed as a Auto Body Repairman with Wilson County Motors in Lebanon, Tenn. for 20 years and Welder for Kaiser Jeep Corporation in Toledo, Ohio for 15 years.
