Katherine Dyer Turner, 68

Katherine Dyer Turner, age 68, of Gamaliel, Ky. passed away Friday, August 8, 2008 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky.

She was born in Monroe Co., Ky. on December 19, 1930 to the late Willie Robert Dyer and Anice McDonald Dyer. She was a member of the Corinth Church of Christ, and a retired employee of Stitches, Inc. and the widow of Bobby Lee Turner who died October 30, 2007. They were married on January 29, 1958.

She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law; Sherry and Michael Barkley of Cookeville, Tenn., Mary and Tony Bell of Gamaliel, Ky., Vickie and Tony Wheat of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn.; three brothers, Charles Dyer of Tompkinsville, Ky., Bryan Dyer and Royce Dyer both of Gamaliel, Ky., 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Timothy Shawn Bell, one sister, Louise Dyer and three brothers, Frank Dyer, David Dyer and Pete Dyer.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Augus 12, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel. Dewayne Fox officiated. Burial was in Corinth Gardens in Macon Co., Tenn. Pallbearers were Dale Strong, Larry Dyer, Jackie Dyer, W.D. Brown, Eric Smith, and Matt Reynolds.

Memorials are suggested in the form of donations to Corinth Gardens.
