Nina Glaydell Young, 88

Nina Glaydell Young, 88 of Tompkinsville, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6 2008. She was bon in Monroe Co., Ky. on March 1, 1920 to the late Erie K. and Nora Page Hagan.

She was a long time member of the Monroe Baptist Church, a homemaker, and the widow of Fred Young, who died Jan. 12, 1998. They were married Oct. 16, 1943.

She is survived by son, Larry Young of Tompkinsville, Ky.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and J.W. Copas of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., Carolyn and Leon Turner of Tompkinsville, Ky.; son and daughter-in-law, Harvey and Connie Young of Tompkinsville, Ky.; 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Chloe Johnson and Katherine Strode both of Tompkinsville, Ky.; brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Andrew and Christine Young and Arlis Hagan of Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews and long time friends, Reggie and Wanda Copas.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifton and Dale Hagan; sister, Sara Graves and longtime friend, Thomas Blythe.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, August 8 at 3 p.m. at the Monroe Baptist Church. Bro. Amon Martin and Bro. Darrick Proffitt officiated. Burial was in Old Mt. Hermon Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers were Jimmy Frazier, Dwayne Frazier, Justin Turner, Jeffery Young, Tommy Young, Jack Buzzard and Jeff Broadbent. Honorary Pallbearers were Jeremy Ross Frazier, Tyler Frazier, Josh Frazier, Ray Watson, Jeff Houchens and Reggie Copas.
