Thurman D. Kirby, 76

Thurman D. Kirby, age 76 of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 26, 2008 at the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tenn.  

Funeral services for Thurman D. Kirby were conducted Friday afternoon, August 29, 2008 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. with E. C. Meadows officiating. Interment followed in the Clark Cemetery. His family and friends served as pallbearers.

He was born April 29, 1932 in Macon County, Tenn., the son of the late Rom and Vallie Carver Kirby. He was a farmer, sawmill worker and a member of the Willette Church of Christ.  

Survivors include: sisters, Dorothy Stafford, Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., Willie Van Hooser, Gallatin, Tenn., Bonnie Desits, South Bend, Ind., brother & sister-in-law, Louie & Christine Kirby, Hendersonville, Tenn., 13 nieces & nephews, 14 great-nieces & nephews.
