Vondel Cassetty, 70

Vondel Cassetty, age 70 of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. passed away Monday morning, August 18, 2008 at the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tenn.

Funeral services for Vondel Cassetty were conducted Wednesday afternoon, August 20, 2008 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. with Elder Brent Hall officiating.  Interment followed in the Whitley Cemetery. His family and friends served as pallbearers.

He was born December 23, 1937 in Macon County, Tenn., the son of the late Elbert and Ruby Whitley Cassetty. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Lovell Cassetty. He was a former employee with the Rich Lumber Company in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn.

Survivors include: cousins, Robert Spears, Myrtlene Spears, both of Lafayette; Ronald (Jan) Cook of Goodlettsville, Roger Cook of McMinnville, & Robbie Huddleston of Manchester.
