Arthur Davis Driver, 81

Arthur Davis Driver, age 81 of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. passed away Friday morning, September 5, 2008 at the NHC Health Care in Springfield, Tenn.

Funeral service for Arthur Davis Driver were conducted Sunday afternoon, September 7, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. with Rev. Steve Freeman officiating. Interment followed in the Smith Chapel Cemetery. His family served as  Pallbearers.

He was born January 8, 1927 in Monroe County, Ky., the son of the late Leonard Ray Driver and Bessie Jewel (Cropper) Driver. On November 26, 1948, he married the former Frances Lucille Joines, who preceded him in death on December 16, 1991. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his daughter, Joan Driver, sisters, Margaret Ann Driver and Martha Ellen Driver, brothers, Shelvy and Vernice Driver.  He was the owner & operator of Driver’s Nursery for over 40 years, retired from Clark & Smith Construction with over 15 year of service and worked at Stitches for over 10 years.  He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of the Smith Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: son & daughter-in-law, Jim (Lisa) Driver of Springfield, sisters, Sylvia Gregory of the Enon Community and Mary Burgess of Gamaliel, Ky. brother, Roy (Joan) Driver of Campbellsville, Ky. sisters-in-law, Jeraldine Driver of Gamaliel, Ky. &  Barbara Driver of Toledo, Ohio, several nieces and nephews.
