Clara Jeanette Tucker, age 69, of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at the Carthage Riverview Medical Center, South. Funeral services for Clara Jeanette Tucker were conducted Saturday, September 6, 2008, at 1 p.m. from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Clinton Davenport officiating. Interment followed in the Galen Cemetery.

Clara Jeanette Tucker was born on Friday, March 3, 1939, in Allen County, one of three siblings, to the late Coy and Hester Allen (West) Driver. She is survived by her husband, John Henry Tucker, who she married on July 23, 1955, sharing fifty-three years together. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Ralph Driver and sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Driver. She was a homemaker who loved to sew, making curtains, pillows, and sweatshirts; she enjoyed quilting, flower gardening, shopping, yard sales, and traveling with her family. She was a member of the Cherry Delights Red Hat Society of Macon County and attended the Willow Creek Baptist Church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by; sons, Michael Anthony (Judy) Tucker of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., Jeff (Sherry) Tucker of Lafayette, Tenn., sister, Dena (Carl) West of Lafayette, Tenn., four grandchildren, Tyler, Adrienne, Jon Michael, and Tristan Tucker.
