Lois Grey Doss, 79

Lois Grey Doss, age 79, of Lafayette, Tenn., passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2008 at Skyline Medical Center.

Funeral services for Lois Grey Doss were conducted Saturday, August 30, 2008, at 11 a.m. from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Rogers officiating. Interment followed in the Underwood Cemetery.                                        

Lois Grey Doss was born on March 12, 1929, in Overton County, to the late Levy and Gertie (Gregory) Gregory. She was married on April 12, 1983 to J. T. Doss, who survives. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Billy White and sister, Gracie Higginbotham.

She was a homemaker, she helped out in her niece’s daycare, delivered meals on wheels, loved to be with her family and work crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Besides her husband of twenty-five years, She is survived by; son, Jimmy (Cornelia) Andrews of Chapin, S. C., sister, Norma Jean (Bennie) Law of Scottsville, Ky., grandchildren, Cayci Andrews of Chapin, S. C., Teonna Ryan of Nolensville, Tenn., Lindsay Vaughn of Nashville, Tenn., and three great-grandchildren.
