Doyle Powell, 54

Doyle Powell, age 54 of the Winklers Community in Macon County, Tenn. passed away Saturday evening, October 11, 2008 at the Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette, Tenn.

Funeral Service for Doyle Powell were conducted Tuesday afternoon, October 14, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. with Elder Terry Austin officiating.  Interment followed in the Bethany Cemetery. Pallbearers were Felix Callous, Victor Buram, Jonathan Powell, Larry Sutton, Bobby Austin and Allen Melton.

He was born July 1, 1954 in Macon County, Tenn., the son of the late Roy and Woneda Henry Powell. On May 11, 1974, he married the former Sharla Dotson, who survives. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Brent Powell, and brothers, Ronald and Roger Powell. Doyle was a construction worker, farmer and a member of the Bethany Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors besides his wife, Sharla of 34 years include: sons & daughters-in-law, Adrian & Tracey Powell, Chris & Lori Powell, all of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., brother & sister-in-law, David & Sheva Powell, Winklers Community, mother-in-law, Eunelle Dotson, Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., granddaughter, Jayden Powell, grandsons, Jordan, Darrian and Brenton Powell all of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn.
