Pauline Dickens Vetetoe, 82

Pauline Dickens Vetetoe, age 82, of Gallatin, formerly of the Sunrise Community in Macon County, Tenn. passed away on Friday, October 24, 2008 at the home of her sister in Hendersonville, Tenn.

Funeral services for Pauline Dickens Vetetoe were conducted on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. from the Chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette. Rick Jones, Jay Jones, Harold Carnahan, Brad Law, and Clint Law served as Pallbearers. Interment was in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park. She was born in Macon County, Tenn. on Monday, December 7, 1925, one of three children born to the late Joe C. Dickens and Jewell Elizabeth White Dickens. She was married to Carmack Vetetoe, who preceded her in death. An infant sister preceded her in death. In her early adult life while living in the Sunrise Community, she was a cafeteria worker at the Enon Elementary School. She loved to cook and play cards. In her later years, she moved to Gallatin, where she continued to live for several years. Ms. Pauline left her testimony of being saved at the age of 11 and was a member of the Harvest Missionary Baptist Church in Hendersonville. She is survived by a sister, Inez Dickens Jacobs of Hendersonville, Tenn., and niece, Connie (Darrell) Law of Lafayette, Tenn.
