Wayne Whitley, 68

Wayne Whitley, age 68 of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 22, 2008 at the Palace in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. Funeral service for Wayne Whitley were conducted Sunday afternoon, October 26, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. with Gary Wilder officiating. Interment followed in the Whitley Cemetery.

Jeff Wheeler served as an Honorary Pallbearer. Active Pallbearers were the members of the Red Boiling Springs Fire Department.
He was born January 25, 1940 in Macon County, Tenn., the son of the late James Baskel and Lillian Mildred Donoho Whitley. On September 16, 1972, he married the former Ina Cherry, who preceded him in death on October 24, 1994. Besides his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Inez Newberry and brother, Richard Whitley. He was a Logger, member of the Bennett Hill Church of Christ and the Red Boiling Springs Fire Department for 45 years. 
Survivors include: devoted companion, Allie Bea Keith, Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., daughter & son-in-law, Beverly & Chris Stewart, Lafayette, Tenn., son & daughter-in-law, Gregg & Angelina Whitley, Cookeville, Tenn., son, Billy Wayne Whitley, Scottsville, Ky., step-daughters & their husbands, Brenda & Keith McDonald, Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., Glenda & Mark Tirjan, Kathy & Robert Birdwell all of Lafayette, Tenn., brothers & sister-in-law, Billy & Louise Whitley, Hendersonville, Tenn., Donald Whitley, Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
