David Edward Carter, 56

Mr. David Edward Carter of Madison, formerly of Westmoreland, Tenn. passed away Monday, October 20, 2008 at the age of 56. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 25 at 3:30 p.m. from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home.

Interment followed in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Teddy Miles, Christopher Finley, Richard Keefe, Bryan Carter, Steven Carter and Timothy Manuel Jr. served as pallbearers.

He is survived by former wife and best friend Diana Carter of Westmoreland; daughter, Bridgett (Johnny) Sullivan of Westmoreland, Laura Carter (fiancé, Richard Keefe) of Portland; sons, Jonathan Carter, Michael Carter both of Westmoreland, Steven (Lori) Carter of Portland, Bryan Carter of Westmoreland; mother & step-father, Jewell & Harold Maze of Gallatin; sister, Brenda Mandrell of Bethpage; half-brother, Johnny Maze of Gallatin; nieces Sherry Shauv, Shelia O’Neal, Sheritza Howell and Laryon Maze, and eleven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by father, Douglas Eugene Carter and step-mother Laura Louise Carter.

Mr. Carter was a United States Army Veteran. 
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made in the form of donations for Mr. Carter’s funeral service at Woodard Funeral Home.
