Hubert Lee Meador, 80

Hubert Lee Meador, age 80, passed away Friday, October 24, 2008, at Sumner Regional Medical Center. The funeral service for Hubert Lee Meador was conducted Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Guthrie Gregory officiating.

Michael Dallas, Matthew Dallas, Kyle Meador, Ryan McFadyen, David Adams, Joe Edlin, Chase Dallas, and Kris Meador served as pallbearers.Interment followed in the Eulia Cemetery.
Hubert Lee Meador was born on April 12, 1928 in Macon County, Tenn. He was the son of Artles “Perry” and Myrtie Alice Meador, who preceded him in death. Besides his parents, Hubert was also preceded in death by; his sister, Helen Swindle and his brother Paul Douglas Meador.
On December 23, 1947 he married Betty Scruggs, who survives. Together they raised three daughters and one son.  
Hubert worked for Zimmer Paper Products until 1984. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by; his wife, Betty Scruggs Meador of Lafayette, daughters; Pamela J. Whited of Indianapolis, Ind., Penny (Ken) Wagner of Avon, Ind., and Anissa Dallas of Lafayette, Tenn., son, Lannie Meador of Indianapolis, Ind., brother, Henry Meador of Westmoreland, Tenn., grandchildren; Michael, Matt, and Chase Dallas, Ryan and Brittany McFadyen, David and Tonya Adams, Shannon Hoock, Kristopher, Kyle, and Erin Meador, and 10 great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Hubert was also preceded in death by; his sister, Helen Swindle and his brother Paul Douglas Meador.
