Jean Ann Russell, 77

Jean Ann Russell, age 77, passed away Monday, October 27, 2008, at The Palace Care & Rehab. The funeral service for Jean Ann Russell was conducted Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 1 p.m. from the Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Dwight Dyer and Jimmy Wheeley officiating. Greg Russell, Patrick Hutchison, and Toby Barton served as Honorary Pallbearers.

Butch Barton, Ted Barton, David Goodman, Barry Payne, Jackie Yokley, Ricky Beshearse, and Kelly Robinson served as active pallbearers. Interment followed in the Testament Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Jean Ann Russell was born on March 27, 1931 in Macon County, Tenn. She was one of four siblings of the late Willie Edwin and Dovie Ann (Hesson) Goodman. On June 28, 1953, she was married to James Huston Russell, sharing forty-four years together; he preceded her in death on May 5, 1998. Besides her husband and parents; one brother, Bobby Goodman also preceded her in death. 
Jean worked for Carter Automotive twenty-two years, before retiring in 1993. She enjoyed sewing, and was one who loved to curl-up with her favorite book. She was a passionate mother; who cared deeply for her family and was a member of the Testament Primitive Baptist Church.   
She is survived by; sons, Danny (Patty) Russell of Gallatin, Tenn., and Mike (Brenda) Russell of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., sisters, Nelda (Bob) Burnette of Gallatin, Tenn., and Sue (Raybon) Payne of Lafayette, Tenn., brother, Hazel (Linda) Goodman of Lafayette, Tenn., grandchildren, Greg and Holly Russell of Lafayette, Tenn., Lydia Russell of Gallatin, Tenn., Chasity Jackson of Bowling Green, Ky., Patrick and Lindsay Hutchison of Gallatin, Tenn.
