Clara Mae Kelley Coleman, age 80
Clara Mae Kelley Coleman, age 80, passed away Thurs. morning, Dec. 4, 2008 at The Palace in Red Boiling Springs. Funeral services for Clara Mae Kelley Coleman were conducted Mon., Dec. 8, 2008 at 10 a.m. from the Chapel of the Tullahoma Funeral Home in Tullahoma with Brother Jason Cruise and Brother Mike Reid officiating.
Interment followed in the Oakwood Cemetery in Tullahoma, Tenn. Her grandsons served as pallbearers. Ms. Clara was born July 29, 1928 in Hickman County, Tenn., one of six siblings born to the late Herbert Hensley and Eliza (Potts) Kelley. On Aug. 30, 1947, she married John L. “Sonny” Coleman, who preceded her in on Jan. 10, 1980. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, George Coleman. She was a member of the West Lafayette Baptist Church, Senior Citizens Center of Macon County and a homemaker. She loved to sew and cook.
She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Jerry (Barbara) Coleman of Nashville, daughters & sons-in-law, Alice (Lacy) Lawson of Tullahoma, Julia (Morris) King & Judy (Ron) Dickman all of Lafayette, Nancy (Larry) Cruise of Clarksville. Sisters, Sue Jones, Margaret Raymond & Faye Kelley all of Columbia, brothers & sisters-in-law, J.C.( Ruth) Kelley of Mt. Pleasant & Harlon (Elsie) Kelley of Columbia, 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
