Teresa Darlene Smith, age 44

  Teresa Darlene Smith, age 44, passed away Mon., Dec. 8, 2008, at her residence. Funeral services for Teresa Darlene Smith were conducted Thurs., Dec. 11, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Landy Presley officiating.

Chris Phillips, Timmy Sullivan, Mikie Meador, Robert Knight, Jackie Gregory, and Anthony Bullington served as pallbearers. Teresa Darlene Smith was born on, Feb. 17, 1964, in Macon County, Tenn. She was the daughter of Wilma D. Rollin Bandy and the late Dennis Ray Bandy. She was married to David Ray Smith, sharing twenty-one years together, and raising two children; David survives. Darlene worked for two years as a medical assistant for Lafayette Family Practice. She had previously worked for Fleetwood and Gap. Darlene had a great love for her family and enjoyed the time she had with her family, planting flowers around her home and decorating was a hobby for her. She was a fighter, battling her cancer with such grace and strength. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Besides her husband, She leaves to mourn her passing; son, Toby Smith, daughter, Amber Smith and fiancé Scott East, mother, Wilma D. Bandy all of Lafayette, Tenn.; brothers, David (Patty) Bandy of West Fork Creek Community, Michael (Melissa) Bandy; Billy (Angie) Bandy, and Charlie (Heather) Bandy all of Lafayette, Tenn.; sisters, Wanda (Steve) Morgan of Allen County, KY, and Dorris Bandy of Lafayette, Tenn.
