Jerry Wayne Coley, age 60

  Jerry Wayne Coley, age 60, passed away Wed., Dec. 17, 2008, at the Macon County General Hospital. Funeral services for Jerry Wayne Coley were conducted Fri., Dec. 19, 2008 at 1 p.m. from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Jimmy Claiborne and Elder Danny Holland officiating.

Kyle Deering, Shawn Sadler, Scottie Sadler, Alex Dawes, Troy Davis, and Joey Robinson served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park. Jerry Wayne Coley was born on, June 1, 1948, in Macon County, Tenn. He was the son of the late Fred Washington and Minnie Mae West Coley. He married the former Judy May Dawes, sharing forty-one years together, and raising two son and two grandsons. Besides his parents; he was preceded in death by; one sister, Sally Dickens. Jerry was a veteran of the United States Army; he presently was employed with Precision Industries where, he had worked for nine years. He had previously driven a truck for Louie Tuck for four years. He enjoyed playing music, and he helped host a Gospel Music Program for Lafayette Broadcasting Station. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a Deacon and a member of Days Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church. Besides his wife, he leaves to mourn his passing; sons, Tim (Tina) Coley, Jacky Coley, grandsons, C. J. (Tamra) Coley, and Matt Coley all of Lafayette, Tenn., several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
