  Myrtle Hagan Bohanan, age 87, of Jimtown Rd, Lafayette, passed away Mon. morning, Jan. 12, 2009, at The Palace in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. Funeral services for Myrtle Hagan Bohanan were conducted Wed., Jan. 14, 2009 from the Chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette, Tenn. with Elder Floyd Ferguson officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.

Her pallbearers were Charles Sutton, Scotty Likens, Chad Guffey, Eric Hollandsworth, Dan Petty, Chris Shaw, William “Buddy” Head, Ben Clark and Jason Carver. Myrtle was born July 5, 1921 in Macon County, Tenn., the daughter of the late Chet and Norma Parkes Hagan. On Nov. 5, 1938, she married Irvin Bohanan, who preceded her in death on March 29, 1987. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her sons, Gary Wayne and Terry Bohanan, sister, Alma Hix, brothers, Robert D. and Kenneth Hagan, granddaughter, Tabitha Bohanan. She was an assembly worker for the former Imperial Reading in Lafayette for many years.
