Anna Dean Driver, 87
Anna Dean Driver, age 87, passed away Sat., Jan. 17, 2009, at the Macon County General Hospital. Funeral services for Anna Dean Driver were conducted Mon., Jan. 19, 2009 from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Guthrie Thompson officiating.
John Gross, Garrett Gross, Keith Ballou, Phillip Bransford, Barney Wooten, and Lee Wooten served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Underwood Cemetery. Anna Dean Driver was born on, April 12, 1921, in Allen County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Garfield and Amanda Brooks White. She was married to Hooper Driver sharing sixty-four years and a daughter together, he preceded her in death on Dec. 22, 2001. Besides her husband and parents; brothers, Horace White, Gladis White, Leon White, sisters, Hazel Combs, Hessie Adams, and Monzel Jent, also preceded her in death. She worked as a seamstress, twenty-seven years, for Formfit Rogers in Lafayette, before retiring in 1980. Anna Dean was a homemaker, devoted mother and loved working in her flowers. She was a member of Akersville Missionary Baptist Church in her earlier years, but later joined New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by; daughter, Judy (Wayne) Oldham, grandson, John (Sherri) Gross, Granddaughters, Cynthia (Phillip) Bransford, and Sherril (Keith) Ballou all of Lafayette, Tenn., great-grandchildren, Nicole (Jason) Carver of Red Boiling Spring, Tenn., Jessica Allison, Garrett Gross, Daniel Gross, and Phoebe Burrow all of Lafayette, Tenn., great-great-grandchild, Eli Carver of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn.
