Charles Edward Swindle, 69

  Charles Edward Swindle, age 69, of Union Camp Rd, Lafayette, passed away Sat., Jan. 17, 2009, at the Macon County General Hospital. Funeral services for Charles Edward Swindle were conducted Tues., Jan. 20, 2009 from the Chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette, Tenn. with Elder Danny Holland officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.

Jackie McClard, Raymond Carr, Paul Louise Wood, Stanley Miller, Roy Midgett and Vin Cline served as pallbearers. Charles was born March 6, 1939 in Macon County, Tenn., the son of the late Benton and Lois (Keen) Swindle. On Aug. 24, 1963, he married Dorothy Brown, who survives. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Bill and Jimmy Swindle; and sisters, Mildred Lucas and Judy Adams. He was a Utility Construction worker and retired from the City of Gallatin with 9 years of service. He was a member at the Haysville Missionary Baptist Church. Other than his wife he is survived by, Daughter & son-in-law, Dianna & Chris Carr of Lafayette; brother, Rex (Meleah) Swindle of Lafayette; sisters, Carolyn (Arlin) West of Red Boiling Springs, Linda (James) Hughes of Ft. Run, KY, Brenda (Stanley) Miller of Red Boiling Springs, Tresa (Ronnie) Dickens of Lafayette, June (Louie) Wood of Red Boiling Springs, Betty (Wayne)Marsh, Myra (Jeff) Johnson both of Lafayette; grandson, Justin Carr; and aunt, Helen West of Hartsville.
